Audit North is headed by John Whitehouse, Director of Audit. John is CIPFA qualified. He is responsible for delivery of over 6,500 days of internal audit, IS assurance and fraud and security services per annum. John has worked extensively with the Boards and Audit Committees of all our clients in helping them to identify the principal risks to their objectives and to develop robust assurance frameworks. He regularly facilitates training workshops for Board and Audit Committee members on risk management and governance issues. John is supported by three Assistant Directors. Warren Edge and Stuart Fallowfield look after the assurance practice, whilst Graham Thompson heads up our security service. Graham ThompsonGraham is an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist. He leads a team responsible for over 1,000 days fraud and security services per annum and is responsible for quality control of all our investigations. Graham leads the development and implementation of counter fraud and investigation strategies for each of our clients and has recently revamped our approach to introduce greater focus on risk and further use of analytical techniques. Stuart is ACCA qualified and has over 14 years experience in internal audit, governance and risk management. Stuart has led audits across a wide range of systems, including corporate governance reviews, risk management workshops and major investigations on behalf client Chief Executives. Warren Edge
Warren is ACA qualified and a former Director in Deloitte’s Internal Audit and Risk Management practice. He has over 20 years experience in providing audit, risk management and governance services to the NHS, local and central government and housing sectors.
